Our Services
Prenatal Lactation Education
We share helpful basics before your baby arrives so you feel ready and confident. It’s all about giving you a calm, prepared start to your feeding journey.
Postpartum Support
Whether in-person or virtually, we offer hands-on help to make breastfeeding more comfortable for you and your baby. We are here to support you through those first sensitive weeks.
Wellness Consults
Our sessions focus on both breastfeeding success and your emotional well-being as a parent. We provide a safe space to talk through your feelings and find your rhythm.
Lactation Nation is proudly partnered with The Lactation Network, which allows acceptance of a range of insurance plans. If you have VA OptumEast, UnitedHealthcare PPO and HMO, UMR, Oxford, Aetna (Maryland, Virginia, or DC) or a plan that includes a MultiPlan, PNOA, Imagine Health, Velocity, or First Health logo on your insurance card, please click the link below to check for insurance coverage through The Lactation Network.
If your insurance is not listed with The Lactation Network or Wildflower, a receipt to submit for reimbursement (i.e. Superbill) can be provided. Additionally, if you do not have insurance and/or you prefer to not utilize insurance, please contact me directly (drjoni@lactationnation.net) for rates and payment options.
Serving patients within Prince George's and Anne Arundel County, MD, parts of northern Virginia, and surrounding areas! Both in-person and virtual options are available! A travel fee applies to in-person visits beyond a certain radius.

I am Dr. Joni, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and licensed clinical psychologist, joined by a deep commitment to centering families from all backgrounds. My approach is unique because I blend clinical mental health expertise with specialized lactation support to help you navigate the complex emotional landscape of new parenthood. I understand that feeding your baby is about more than just technique; it’s about your well-being too! In my care, you will find a safe, down-to-earth, and non-judgmental space designed to help you confidently reach your breastfeeding goals on your own terms. Together, we will nurture both your spirit and your baby.
